![]() ![]() So, my question is how do you make -exactcollisions happen? I'm very interested. I went all the way back to the OP of this thread (BTW very interesting! I'll try one day to play Myst 5 EOA inside URU). I'm not responsible for misplaced collisions, though - the algorithm is quite dumb when it comes to transparent objects like sprites. The trip from the balcony to the sphere is worth a shot. Also, if you like epic balancing over an endless abyss, I'd suggest having a look at Ahnonay's vortex/fourth sphere. You only need flymode to go through Cyan's original colliders.Ĭan be interesting for people who like wandering on the rooftops in Ae'Gura in an Assassin's Creed-like fashion. ![]() This means you can walk virtually anywhere in an Age without falling through. This basically adds a physical object for each visual one in a few seconds. Lol, it just seems odd that it would give me the error the first time, sooner than before, but then not after that. Oddly, this time I got the error stack as soon as i tried to interact with the book, but even more strangely, it did not happen the second or third time and it took me there with no problems, unlike before where it just consistently froze up on load and eventually gave the error. However I noticed only 1 bit of difference between the two files, so I just told Drizzle to put it back to its original value. My tools couldn't read the buggy area, and debugging them was too annoying. (The funny thing is I still don't know what caused the crash. Could you try reconverting your Myst V files with this new version of Drizzle ? This should solve the problem, let me know if you run into any more issues. Youshould note, however, that any saved games from the 32-bit version willcause the 16-bit version to crash - maybe not immediately, but sometimelater in the game and possibly at the most inconvenient time.Sirius wrote:Whew ! Okay, it wasn't simple but I think I fixed it. While you'rethere, you may also want to change the display to 640x480, but it's notnecessary for the program to work. 16-bit Myst won't run if it's any higher. In theDisplay control panel's Settings tab, set your display's color paletteto 256 colors. When theinstaller asks you, allow it to install its 16-bit version of Quicktime.Even if you have a 32-bit version already on your machine, they'restored in different places and won't interfere with each other. Go to the setup16 folder on the CD and launch thefile ls_setup16.exe. To do this, don't click on the setup.exe icon on the CD orallow autoplay to run. Make sure to install the *16 bit*version. *Cylon swoops in with another breathtaking cut-and-paste job from Myst (Broderbund) Yes NT 4.0 02/00 Can run Myst underWindows NT 4.0 (sp3 and later). And since the first true Win95 (ie 32bit) QT didn't work with Myst, this is what you had to do (if you didn't have the updated CD). By deleting the Q*.* files, it will force Myst to use QT 2.0.After you receive the updated version of Myst, please allow the Mystinstallation program to overwrite the current version(s) of Quicktime andinstall it's new version.See The very first original CD was Win 3.1 only. This is necessary because the thirdparty programs installed overwrite the Myst Quicktime files thus causing theerror.
